Pro Makeup Tutorial For Diwali
Diwali is just around the corner, and while we’re getting our festive outfits ready, it’s equally important to complete the look with makeup that’s truly on point! Follow our easy makeup tutorial that’s oh-so glamorous, and you’ll be ready to dazzle. The best part––it’s super easy to do AND will have you ready to go in 10 minutes flat.
Step 1: Moisturise
The weather is getting cooler and the air, drier. Put some moisture back into your delicate skin with a light, non-comedogenic moisturiser. Dab small dots over your face and with a gentle hand, rub it into your skin until absorbed.
Step 2: Primer
A primer will get your skin ready for any makeup you’ll be applying, and help to keep it on longer by smoothening your pores and giving you a silky smooth finish in the end.
Step 3: Base
Whether you prefer a light BB cream, CC cream or a full face of foundation, go ahead and apply a base of your choice over your primer. Make sure that the tone matches your neck for an even finish. You can apply your base using either a brush or your fingertips––the perfect way is whatever you find easy!
Step 4: Concealer
Apply concealer to cover any blemishes or discoloration on your face. Ensure that the concealer matches your foundation, but under the eyes you can use a lighter tone to give it a lift while also masking dark circles.
Step 5: Eyes
Take your favourite eyeshadow palette. Begin with a neutral brown tone and apply it in the upper eye crease to create an even base. Then go in with a darker shade of brown in the crease and blend until it is smooth. Then choose your accent colour (we recommend a shimmering metallic tone for evening) and apply in the middle of your eyelid. That’s your eyeshadow done!
Finish with a dark liner and mascara for a beautiful smokey eye.
Step 6: Lipstick
There’s no right or wrong when it comes to lip colour, so choose a shade you fancy and carefully apply it on the upper and lower lip. Line your lips with a lip liner and blot onto a tissue to keep the colour intact for hours.
Step 7: Set
Grab some setting powder and dab it over your T-zone: forehead, chin and nose. Gently apply some powder under your eyes too and it’ll stop your undereye concealer from creasing.
Step 8: Dress up
The final step is to wear your favourite festive outfit from Lbas. We’ve got a wide range of styles, an array of bright colours and beautifully detailed finishes that will have you looking festive ready in no time!
